Brisbane Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Kathryn Puffett | Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner BHSc (Acupuncture)
Hello dear one, I am Kathryn…
I use she/her pronouns.
I am a registered Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner.
Whilst everyone is welcome, my clinical focus is on three areas:
Gut health & digestion: supporting symptoms related to coeliac disease, Crohn's disease, IBD, IBS, constipation, reflux, diarrhea, bloating, nausea, & vomiting, and abdominal pain.
Mental health: helping you destress and find relief from symptoms of anxiety and depression and thrive with ADHD.
Hormone health: supporting you from puberty through to perimenopause and easing symptoms for those with PCOS, endometriosis, pelvic pain, irregular periods, amenorrhea and more, as well as supporting you through pregnancy and toward labour preparation.
Within the rich tapestry of Chinese Medicine, I am particularly focused on self-cultivation and health preservation. I aim to guide you to discover vitality and ease in this life.
I help people feel at home in their bodies and this world.
I aim to share my clinical knowledge, ensuring that potent messages are accessible to everyone; this means cutting through wellness propaganda to deliver evidence-based health solutions.
My background has contributed to shaping me into the Acupuncturist I am today:
First and foremost, I am a lifelong explorer of the body, the human experience, our natural world, and the vast expanse of consciousness.
My journey, fueled by an enduring spark of existential curiosity, has drawn me to the practices and traditions of the East, beginning with Yoga and evolving into a focus on Qigong and Meditation. These disciplines hold tremendous potential for cultivating health and reconnecting us with nature. I'm qualified to guide others in yoga, qigong, and meditation practices.
Since 2019, I have responded to the call to be of service by learning and sharing the Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine practice. After completing my university studies and graduating with distinction at the top of my class, I immersed myself in post-graduate training in Toyohari, a gentle form of Japanese Acupuncture. An Acupuncturist never stops learning.
My diverse experiences with movement practices, bodywork, and meditation have instilled in me a deep reverence for the interconnectedness of all things. I view individual health and healing as inseparable from the broader well-being of all humans and the natural, non-human world.
This interconnected perspective, rooted in traditional knowledge systems, complements the evidence-based training I continue to engage with.
From a small space in leafy Albion, I support the North Brisbane communities of Newstead, Wooloowin, Teneriffe, New Farm, Grange, Gordan Park, Bowen Hills, Wavell Heights, Stafford, Windsor, Ascot, Hamilton, Herston, Clayfield and Nundah.
I cannot wait to meet you.
